300 marijuana plants found in Fayette County

Deputies are investigating a big discovery near the community of Kirtley in Fayette County.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27 a landowner contacted the sheriff’s department about marijuana growing on his property. Investigators found about 300 plants. They watched the property for a few days, but no one came around.

The landowner is not suspected of any wrongdoing. The pot has a street value of $150,000.
