3,500 cannabis plants found in Washington County

Washington County Sheriff’s Department recently found about 3,500 cannabis plants in a rural area. They estimate the value of the plants at about $5.25 million.

Officials say it’s the same 150-acre site between Chappell Hill and Washington where deputies in March confiscated about 48,000 plants.

A property owner who noticed the plants contacted police, no one has been arrested.
