Amarillo police raid home over pound of pot

An Amarillo man was arrested after police raided his home and found a pound of marijuana.

Amarillo police served the warrant at 2104 S. Lincoln, and seized approximately one pound of cannabis valued at $3,500.

Police also confiscated a firearm from the home.

Gustavo Ruiz Medrano, 23, of Amarillo was arrested and booked into the Potter County Detention Center for Possession of Marijuana over 4 ounces, under 5 pounds in a drug free zone, a third degree felony.

Medrano faces a minimum of six months in jail.
