Arrests made for 20 pounds of pot in Killeen

Three people were arrested for 20 pounds of marijuana in Killeen during a traffic stop.

Marcus Vaughn Furr, 28, of Killeen, Lester Jerome Sumpter, 27, of El Paso and April Natalie Armenta, 26, of El Paso, were arrested after police stopped their vehicle because they suspected it of being a drug courier.

An unspecified amount of cash was also seized.

Bonds were set at $50,000 each.

They face at least one charge of possession over five pounds, which could get them a minimum of two years in jail and a $10,000 fine. They face a maximum of 10 years if convicted.
