DFW NORML Board of Directors Election Guide

It’s election time, and not just for the politicians! DFW NORML will be holding elections for seats on their board of directors this coming Saturday.

There are five seats up for grabs, including Director of Operations, Director of Marketing, Secretary, Public Information Officer, and Compliance Officer.

Also up for grabs is the Executive Director position, however this slot is voted on by the newly elected board. All other positions are voted on by general members of DFW NORML.

Davidson is currently the Director of Marketing, Brown is currently the Secretary, Sloane is currently the Public Information Officer, and Burgoyne is the current Compliance Officer. Pender, Bortell, and Smith have not previously held a position within DFW NORML.

In an effort to inform voters of the choices available to them, Texas Cannabis Report requested that any candidates interested fill out a survey and send it back in order for an election profile to be created on them. Of the above candidates, both Brown and Sloane responded. Edit: Bortell and Smith responded after the posting of this guide.

You can find Brown’s profile here, and Sloane’s profile here. Find Bortell’s profile here and Smith’s profile here.

The election is Saturday, Oct. 25 and in order to vote a person must be a paid member prior to the day of the vote.

Texas Cannabis Report does not endorse any candidate.
