DFW NORML goes all out for Global Marijuana March in Fort Worth with first ever billboard
Each year, DFW NORML holds a march in Fort Worth which coincides with the Global Marijuana March to show solidarity for those affected by the war on cannabis and to raise awareness for the need to legalize marijuana.
This year, they’ve gone all out to help ensure it will be their biggest march to date.
Not only will they be holding an all day festival, but they just recently completely a $2,000 fundraising campaign to erect a billboard advertising the event. In recent years there have been several hundred people turn out to participate. This year, they hope to have over 1,000.
Their billboard will go up on Tuesday, April 8 at 9 a.m. on the eastbound side of IH-20 near Anglin Drive.
The festivities begin at Mambo’s Tapas Cantina at Federal Plaza in Fort Worth starting at noon, with the march beginning 4:20 p.m. at the panther fountain located at Throckmorton and West 9th St. at Federal Plaza.
