DFW NORML to elect board of directors

dfw norml

It’s an election year, and not just for the politicians in Texas. The Dallas/Fort Worth non-profit marijuana reform group DFW NORML will be hosting elections in October for their board of directors.

Up for election are five positions, including Director of Operations, Director of Marketing, Secretary, Public Information Officer, and Compliance Officer.

Also up for grabs is the Executive Director position, however this slot is voted on by the newly elected board. All other positions are voted on by general members of DFW NORML.

In order to vote everyone must have a current, paid membership with the organization, and must have a membership prior to the day of the vote. Those obtaining a membership on the day of the vote will not be able to vote in the election.

The cost of a membership is $15, while veterans, students, and seniors can obtain a membership for $10.

A membership can be obtained at any DFW NORML event or meeting. For a list of events and meetings, click here.

Those interested in running for a position should contact Tristan Tucker, Deputy Director of DFW NORML by email at Tristan@dfwnorml.org.
