Fourth major poll shows majority support for marijuana legalization

Confirming what we already know, the newly released NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows a solid majority of Americans support legalizing cannabis.

The poll showed 55% in favor, with only 24% voicing opposition.

This adds to CBS showing 51% in favor, Gallup at 58%, and CNN at 55%. There was also one by Public Policy Polling for Texas showing 58%.

All show a super majority of support for medical marijuana.

With two states already legal, as many as 10 more states could legalize in 2014. More states could legalize medical marijuana as well, adding to the 20 states plus Washington, DC which already have medical programs.
