Man caught smuggling cannabis in children’s furniture

Officers working at the Presidio port of entry in Texas seized just over 73 pounds of cannabis on Thursday, June 27 when a bus was attempting to enter the country from Mexico.

Upon inspection, officers found boxes full of children’s furniture which were deemed to be of an unusual weight. After drilling into the furniture they discovered 72 bundles of marijuana.

The driver, 47-year-old Alejandro Faber of McKinney, Texas was arrested and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to face federal charges in connection with the failed smuggling attempt.
