Over 6 tons of marijuana found in Dallas

A tractor trailer traveling through Dallas on April 14 was pulled over and found to have suspicious items which were not in its manifest. A search turned up many tons of marijuana.

According to The Dallas Police Department Beat, at around 9:30 p.m. the Domestic Highway Enforcement (DHE) Unit responded to a request for assistance from the Dallas office of the Drug Enforcement Administration. A Dallas Police K-9 dog was utilized and alerted to several pallets that had been on the trailer.

A search turned up around 13,000 pounds of marijuana on pallets which were packed in 12-25 lb. bundles. The estimated street value of the bust was figured at $6.5 million.

    All the while as they wasted time, thieves were robbing the city blind, murders were happening, and hard drugs were ruining people’s lives…and they choose to chase pot….
