Police in Rosenburg, a suburb of Houston, found 562 pounds of cannabis a boat during a traffic stop.

A K-9 unit stopped a Ford F-150 in the 2500 block of Avenue H. on Sunday evening and the dog alerted on the boat the truck was pulling.

Upon performing a search, police found what they estimated to be about $170,000 of marijuana bricks in a hidden compartment. In all, 155 bundles were found.

The two men in the truck, Clint Schweining and Martin Wilson, were arrested on a felony charge of possession of marijuana.

Police said the traffic stop was the result of an on-going drug trafficking investigation. They said both suspects’ stories of where they were going from and where they were going were “very inconsistent.”

Packaging of the marijuana indicates that it likely originated from a drug cartel operation.
