Police seize nearly a ton of marijuana near Alamo

Investigators with the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s office pulled over a tractor trailer near the Alamo filled with marijuana.

Authorities followed the truck from a warehouse and then pulled it over on Alamo Road. Upon searching it, they found wooden crates filled with nearly a ton of marijuana.

They then went back and searched the warehouse where they found more marijuana and packing materials.

The driver was arrested on multiple marijuana related charges.
