Rapper Wiz Khalifa detained at Texas airport for canister of marijuana

Wiz Khalifa

After performing at a music festival in El Paso this past weekend, rapper Wiz Khalifa was busted for marijuana possession by airport TSA agents.

While going through the security line, Khalifa was chosen for a secondary inspection because he did not have a form of ID on him.

After a search, agents say they found a canister of marijuana on his person. He was arrested for misdemeanor possession and later posted a $300 bail. Some outlets are reporting that he was busted for a half gram of cannabis, but Texas Cannabis Report staff could not verify that information.

It appears that he was able to keep his phone while in custody because he tweeted what appears to be a selfie while in jail.

Khalifa was born Cameron Thomaz in Minot, North Dakota.
