Rapper Wiz Khalifa fails to show up for court in El Paso over marijuana charge
Rapper Cameron Thomaz, otherwise known as Wiz Khalifa, was due in an El Paso court today to face marijuana charges from earlier this year, however he did not show up.
After performing at a music festival in El Paso, Thomaz was busted for marijuana possession by airport TSA agents.
While going through the security line, he was chosen for a secondary inspection because he did not have a form of ID on him.
After a search, agents say they found a canister of marijuana on his person. He was arrested for misdemeanor possession and later posted a $300 bail.
Court records indicate that Thomaz did not have an attorney, and was instead required to appear in person to represent himself. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
