Teenager leads police on car chase while smuggling marijuana
State troopers said a 15-year-old boy led them on a high-speed chase during a marijuana smuggling attempt in Rio Grande City.
The chase, which covered 15 miles, ended when he crashed into a cellphone store.
Police found more than 450 pounds in the truck he was driving.
The illegality of marijuana often helps drug cartels, who easily lure poverty stricken teenagers into transporting drugs for them.
