A City of Killeen life guard was arrested Sunday after police say he admitted to having marijuana in his car and smoking it while at work at a city pool.

Police arrested Edwin Antonio Nunez in the parking lot at Killeen’s Longbranch Park Swimming Pool after a caller reported he saw two men smoking marijuana in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, police say they smelled marijuana and found a burned joint near the vehicle. When police searched the car, they found an unspecified amount of marijuana, MDMA, otherwise known as ecstasy, and other suspected controlled substance items, an affidavit said.
