Texas NORML director talks racial disparity of drug laws at San Antonio NAACP event

Director of Texas NORML Cheyanne Weldon recently spoke at a San Antonio NAACP event regarding the racial disparity when laws are applied in Texas and around the country.

Texas is a leader in both cannabis arrests and unfairly targeting black people.

A statement issued by Texas NORML stated “we hope that other chapters will continue to reach out to organizations in their community that are outside of our “choir” and comfort zone.”
