Texas NORML to host PTSD and Medical Marijuana seminar in Killeen

Texas NORML will be hosting a seminar to discuss marijuana and its effectiveness for helping manage Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The group will also talk about the upcoming medical marijuana bill.

The featured speaker for the event will be Dr. Neeraj Shah, a physician with experience treating patients suffering from PTSD. Heather Fazio from Marijuana Policy Project will discuss the medical marijuana bill that will be introduced in the Texas Legislature in 2015.

Veterans will also be on hand to discuss PTSD and how people can help veterans gain access to legal cannabis in Texas.

The event begins at 9:00 a.m. and will run until noon at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center on Saturday, Feb. 7 located at 3601 South W S Young Drive. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

Located near Fort Hood, the non-profit cannabis advocacy group says that this will be a historic event for the community and the veterans which reside in it.
