Texas school board member caught with 1,200 pounds of pot
A Progreso school board member is facing charges after state troopers found over 1,200 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
31-year-old Felix Hernandez Jr. was arrested Saturday and charged with being in possession of between 50 and 2,000 pounds of marijuana according to The Monitor.
A traffic violation prompted a trooper in Hidalgo County to pull Hernandez over. It is unclear what led to a search of the vehicle.
He is currently in Hidalgo County Jail on $1.25 million bond.
