Texas seizure patient raided for three marijuana plants

It took more than twelve years for 38 year-old Jeremy Bourque to sharpen his grow skills to the point where he could produce quality cannabis that effectively treated his seizures. Jeremy was diagnosed with Epilepsy at the age of 15 and has been hospitalized at least 10 times in his life, including a recent 9-day stint in intensive care in a coma. Since the age of 18, Jeremy has been using medical cannabis to do what no man-made medication has been able to do: control his seizures.

This past April the Jefferson County, Texas Sheriff’s Office exerted their control over Jeremy’s health by raiding his home and taking away his medicine.
