Traffic stop near Amarillo nets 75 pounds of pot

Texas troopers seized more than 75 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop just outside of Amarillo this past weekend.

After pulling over an RV on I-40 for a traffic violation, the trooper searched the vehicle and found 64 bundles in the overhead air conditioning unit.

Both the driver and passenger were arrested on a second-degree felony charge of possession of marijuana.

Jonna Maceda, 40, and Linda Thi Nguyen, 32, were both from California. Police speculate that they were transporting the cannabis from Anaheim to Dallas.
