Two arrested in Lubbock for plane full of cannabis

Two men flying from California to Atlanta stopped off in Lubbock to refuel their plane and were arrested for possession with intent to distribute after police found over 150 pounds of cannabis in their rented plane.

Investigators received tips that the plane was flying under suspicious circumstances when the two payed for fuel in Page, Arizona with cash.

Upon searching the plane, several duffel bags full of marijuana were found. The incident took place on April 17.

Michael Gallanter and Ethan Oliver Wynne-Wade, both from San Francisco, pleaded guilty. They face up to 20 years in prison and $1 million in fines.
