Woman arrested for selling cannabis in parking lot

A woman was arrested and accused of selling cannabis in the parking lot of a business in Kearney.

The woman’s name was not released, but police say the 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of felony distribution of marijuana and cited for possession of less than 1 ounce and drug paraphernalia.

At about 10:50 p.m. Kearney Police Department received a call about the woman who was in the the parking lot of a south Kearney business.

Police found her at the 400 block of Second Avenue and upon searching her found a bag of cannabis.

She was arrested and taken to the Buffalo County Jail where she awaits an initial court appearance.
